Hi you guys! It’s me…Murphy.
Well we had quite the 4th of July weekend…and not in a good way. On Friday afternoon, the day before the 4th, our power went out. We don’t know why…probably because it was so hot and everyone overloaded the system. And if that wasn’t enough, about an hour later, a BIG storm blew through and then lots of people lost power. It was crazy!
You know what that means, don’tcha? No power…no computer…no innernets…no blogging. Well, the mom did have her iPhone to be able to check the innernets, but she said the screen is too small for her to do anything meaningful on it.
And it was still kinda hot and humid and we had no cold air blowing thing to help with that.
The Lady was discombobulated because she couldn’t do the stuff she usually does like laundry or cooking or watching TV. She also needed to find a cold place to keep the foods in the freezer. She remembered that the Guy had a refrigerator at his workplace so she used that. But she still had to throw out lots of foods.
I was a little discombobulated, too…and so was the kid. We could tell things just weren’t normal. Boy, were we happy when we FINALLY got our power back…but not until Monday afternoon. It sure was a strange 3 days. And honestly, I hope that never happens again.
